The Tea Collective

The Tea Collective is an award winning, luxury tea room situated on busy King Street in Newcastle. Despite the busy street, The Tea Collective is a quiet and calming atmosphere where you can take your time to enjoy tea and treats.

They sell five different types of Chai, and that alone is a good enough reason to go there. From Gingerbread Chai to Chocolate Coconut Chai, there’s sure to be one that satisfies your taste. That is only one collection, they have collections of green tea, black tea, organic herbal tea, white pure tea and many, many more. It’s the place to go for tea lovers in Newcastle. You can buy their tea products to take home, along with jams and conserves, and accessories.

The Tea Collective also host High Tea, the cost is $65 per person with a $10 surcharge for any changes to the menu including vegan & gluten free. Bookings are essential. Payments can  be made in person in the tearoom situated at 127 Darby Street (Upstairs from The Autumn Rooms), or by calling (02) 49061125 during opening hours.

High Teas are served on both Saturday and Sunday 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. Weekday bookings are available upon request.

The Tea Collective won Best Tea Menu in Australia and Best Tea House in New South Wales within their first six months of opening. If you can’t make it to the store, their online store ships everywhere in Australia.

Coco Monde

Coco Monde give you the choice between two packages for their High Tea, which is available daily, any time of day or evening, you just need to make a booking. Gather family, friends or colleagues and relax in the ambience of the restaurant’s French vintage décor while enjoying two courses of decadent offerings. The minimum number of guests for a High Tea booking is 2 people, so you don’t need a giant party as an excuse to enjoy a High Tea!

All day Breakfast is offered from 8 am- 3 pm while meals are available from 11am onwards. Their dessert and drinks menus are available at all times! They have a range of premium loose leaf teas and other beverages for you to enjoy with a delicious chocolate treat.

Crowne Plaza

Enjoy a waterfront view at the Seasalt Restaurant inside Crowne Plaza Newcastle. Choose from a range of perfectly crafted petits-pains, amuse-bouches, patisseries, petit-fours, quiches and gourmet pies while sipping on freshly brewed mint fusion, green blossom, jasmine petal, English breakfast, imperial earl grey or cape red rooibos tea. They host Afternoon High Tea: $35 per person, and Deluxe High Tea: $50 per person.

Euro Patisserie

You will want to try every treat you see when you walk through the doors of Euro Patisserie. Their friendly staff, convenient location with parking available, and quality products makes it a great place to visit. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch daily and dinner on Friday & Saturday nights from 6pm.They host High Tea, with a minimum of two people, available on  Saturdays 2pm to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 3pm.
